Ramadan is a great opportunity to loose weight. So apart from worship and spirituality (ofcourse this is the primary concern) you have an opportunity to get a fit body. Have you ever thought about How to Lose Weight in Ramadan?. If not then you should think How to Lose Weight in Ramadan if you got a big tummy and want to make it flat. 😛
How to Lose Weight in Ramadan?
If you really want to lose weight in this Ramadan. Take care of the following things I’ve mentioned below.
Worship is more important than cooking
This is the problem with almost everyone in Ramadan. They try to prepare the best meals for 30 days in Ramadan. They make all the time in the kitchen. In Ramadan we are not eating in day time doesn’t mean we have to eat the best things we can at evening. So go for a healthy eating and try to give priority to prayer instead of cooking.
Get rid with the Food Myth
Many people eat heavy foods in Suhoor and Iftaar. They think that eating heavy food in Suhoor will give them more energy to throughout the day. Which is a total myth. The truth is that heavy food will make you feel tired more quickly specially when you have to stand on long prayers. So look for the right foods instead of taking heavy greasy foods.
What are the right foods?
You should look for the earth grown green food, which are obviously the nature’s cure. So fill your refrigerator with green foods and fruits. And try to avoid heavy fried oily junk foods.
Boost your fitness and health
In ramadan you are in the way to get closer to Almighty Allah. At the same time it is a great opportunity to get a physically fit body. Fasting is a great opportunity for you to lose weight and change your eating patterns. Even there is a Hadith explaining how much should we eat. Miqdam bin Madikarib said:
“I heard the Messenger of Allah say: ‘A human being fills no worse vessel than his stomach. It is sufficient for a human being to eat a few mouthfuls to keep his spine straight. But if he must (fill it), then one third of food, one third for drink and one third for air.’” Sahih (Darussalam) Vol. 4, Book 29, Hadith 3349
So keep in mind the above hadith, don’t eat flawlessly until your entire stomach gets filled. It will make your feel fatigued and lazy. For the peoples who cannot control eating junk food (specially the peoples like me :P) fasting is a great opportunity to make a healthy diet plan, because while fasting we can only eat when it is allowed.
Don’t Skip Suhoor
Many peoples skip suhoor by giving the excuse that they were not able to wake up that much early. But suhoor is very important. If you don’t take suhoor meal you will keep feeling hungry throughout the day. It will make you feel tired and lazy. So don’t skip suhoor and at the same time don’t eat heavy at suhoor. You need to balance your suhoor meal. Also make sure that your Suhoor meal is limited with salt or else you will feel thirsty.
Lose Weight While You Fast
Researches has proved that fasting is a safe way of loosing weight. Peoples made fasting an excuse for not exercising. So if you want to lose weight and make your body fit on this ramadan. Spend 30 minutes for exercise and specially focus on cardio. It is proven that you will burn more body fat as compared to the non fasting days. Because when you fast your body uses your fats as a primary source of energy and that leads to burn fats of your body. Nowdays even many athletes use fasting when they want to burn their fats.
So I hope you got the answer about How to Lose Weight in Ramadan. Insha Allah we all get a healthy body in this ramadan.
